Common Questions We Hear

Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of your back teeth (molars and premolars). They work by sealing the grooves and pits where food particles and bacteria can collect, to help prevent cavities from forming.

Dental sealants can last 5 to 10 years, depending on proper care, such as regular dental checkups, brushing, and routine visits.

While dental sealants are typically applied to molars and premolars, they can be used on front teeth if these teeth are at risk of decay. Our team can evaluate and recommend the best preventive options for your specific needs.
